How do you replace the Starter on a 1996 Eagle Talon Tsi AWD Turbo?
The starter went and I have been trying to get to it for weeks now. I can't find any information online at all. Even autozone can't seem to help me. I determined I could get to it from under the car by removing the exhaust but it is rusted on, I managed to get the downpipe off but I cannot get the Catalytic Converter off. I tried cutting out the bendy portion that is in my way but it is eating my Sawzall Blades and the angle is impossible by hand. To get to it from the top you have to remove the intake manifold! I am going insane here!!!
WTF are you doing? You take it out from the top and I've never removed the fricken intake manifold. You better hire a mechanic before you sawsall the whole car apart.
